In mid-March of 2020, pandemic lockdowns caused people around the globe to shut their doors and spend more time inside. Schools and offices went remote, Zoom meetings became an everyday occurrence, and families and loved ones were spending more time together in their homes. For the Teare’s, that was no different.

“Find Your Own Space” Opening Reception - June 18th
Join us at the Lemon Fair Sculpture Park on Friday, June 18th from 5pm-dusk for an opening celebration of Susan and Kirk Teare’s “Find Your Own Space” site-specific installation. Experience the magic of the piece on one of the longest days of the year. Light refreshments will be served. The Lemon Fair Sculpture Park is located at 4547 Route 74, Shoreham, VT. Rain date set for Sunday, June 20th.
Susan Teare’s newest outdoor site-specific installation is a
collaboration with her son, Kirk Teare.
Kirk is a recent graduate from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He earned a bachelors degree in Environmental Design while designing ergonomic and human centered products. Kirk’s experience with various design software and lighting supported the process of Find Your Own Space. Prior to college, he attended the Stratton Mountain School for two winters from 2012 to 2014 and graduated from Essex High School (Vermont) in 2017. Kirk also has had a separate career in snowboarding and continues today riding for Rome Snowboards, Anon Optics, and Satellite Boardshop located in Boulder, CO.
